What Is Loofah?
Loofah is the fiber core of the mature, dried loofah gourd, grown in Vietnam. Once the gourd fully ripens and dries naturally, the fiber core is separated from the outer skin, molded and cut into shape by hand — with no industrial bleach or artificial dye. Finished pieces typically run 11.5–15 cm long and 6.5–12.5 cm wide, depending on the shape.
Loofah Material & Product Applications
The interlocking cellulose fiber network gives loofah high natural elasticity and a soft, pliable feel once wet. As a dog chews, saliva softens the fibers so they work into the gaps between teeth like a multi-angle brush, helping scrape away plaque and gently massage the gumline. It suits dogs and cats of most ages, and a shape can be infused with catnip for extra engagement.
Processing & Quality
Loofah is dried and shaped into finished toys, then checked at each stage of production against our quality requirements, safe for digestion in the small amounts a pet might swallow while chewing. After play, rinse with clean water, wring out and air-dry in a well-ventilated spot — loofah absorbs saliva and moisture readily, so we recommend supervision during vigorous chewing.

Standard bulk packaging, custom label and hang tag, and custom retail packaging are available for loofah pet toys.
